Pokemon Infinite Fusion Fusing Guide and Other Information

What Is Fusing Pokemon All About?

The concept is simple – you combine one Pokemon and another to form a new hybrid Pokemon.

The fused Pokemon will look like something you have never seen before in the mainline games, making Infinite Fusion quite distinctive from most fan-made Pokemon games.

The sprites are contributed by numerous artists and other people with their names plastered on the fusion.

Aside from just aesthetics, these fused Pokemon will have their own Pokedex entries and other information.

You’ll basically have a unique Pokemon with a combined name and so much more.

How to Fuse Pokemon

These are the steps necessary when you want to fuse two Pokemon together.

Before you start fusing, you need splicer items for the task.

These splicers can be bought from any Poke Mart or may spawn as random items around the map:

  • DNA Splicer – Regular one-time use item to fuse Pokemon
  • Super Splicer – A much more effective but expensive one-time use item to fuse Pokemon but will choose the best IV stats
  • Infinite Splicer – Cannot be bought from any Poke Mart but is a Key Item in the game which is a regular DNA Splicer but can be used indefinitely.

Step 1: Use the Splicer

Choose the DNA Splicer from your Bag and use it.

Step 2: Choose Two Pokemon for Fusing

Select two Pokemon in your party that you want to combine. For this example (image below), we will fuse Charmander with Azurill.

Step 3: Choose Fused Pokemon’s Silhouette

You have to choose the head and body of the Pokemon. In the image below, you will see the silhouette of what the fused Pokemon will look like when it is done.

For the most part, the process results in a peculiar-looking Pokemon, and its typing may also depend on the types of the two base Pokemon.

You can also see the types that the Fused Pokemon will have once it is finished. In the image below, our fused Pokemon may have the Fire type based on Charmander and the Normal and Fairy type based on Azurill.

Choose the form you want and proceed with the fusion process (In this case, we’ll go for the left one which is the Fire/Fairy).

Step 4: Fusion Complete

Once you’ve chosen the form from the silhouette, it will come out as it is.

You’ll see the new sprite and the name of the artist who made it. The fusion is finished but we’re not done yet.

Step 5: Set the Attributes

After the fusion is finished, you have to choose the attributes that the fused Pokemon will have.

  • Name – Simply choose the name (one from the two Pokemon before fusing).
  • Ability – Choose the ability that you want the fused Pokemon to have. The abilities’ descriptions will help you decide.
  • Nature – Choose the nature of your fused Pokemon. Nature will affect how a Pokemon’s stats grow.

Step 6: Choose Your Moves (If You Keep Your Moves)

The final step is that you can choose what Moves should be kept by the fused Pokemon.

If you choose to keep Azurill or Charmander’s move, then the fused Pokemon will have the moves of the chosen Pokemon.

If you choose Charmander, then the fused Pokemon will have Charmander’s moves before the fusion.

You’re all set if you choose to keep the specific Pokemon’s Moves.

Step 7: If You Choose to Combine the Moves

If you want to combine moves, the process isn’t that difficult either. What happens is that the fused Pokemon will have the set of moves that the previous two Pokemon have.

In this case, this fused Pokemon has Azurill’s moves, but you are also allowed to learn the moves that Charmander has.

In the image below, The fused Pokemon is trying to learn Ember which was learned by Charmander.

Choose which moves you want to keep moving forward and you are finally done.

Can You Separate Fused Pokemon?

The answer is yes, using the same DNA Splicer, you can separate the two Pokemon.

The process is simple, just use the DNA Splicer and simply click on YES when they ask if you want to unfuse the Pokemon.

Seconds later the Pokemon will be separated and you’re good to go.

Other Details Concerning Pokemon Fusion

  • When fusing two Pokemon with different levels, the level will be calculated and averaged. For example, a level 10 Pokemon fused with a level 30 Pokemon will result in a level 20 Pokemon.
  • When separating fused Pokemon, the levels will revert back or averaged with the same gap. Like the statement above, the higher level Pokemon will still be high added with the level that it was separated with.
  • Pokemon that are separated will lose their given names. They will have their default names when they are separated.
  • When you already have Pokedex entries of fused Pokemon, they will appear in the results and not as silhouettes.
  • A fused Pokemon cannot be fused with another regular or fused Pokemon.

Advantages of Fusing Pokemon

  • You can fuse Pokemon to form cool type combinations, like making a Dragon/Fairy-type Pokemon for better coverage. Now that you have a Dragon/Fairy, it will lose its weakness to Fairy-types.
  • Abilities can also be taken advantage of when you have the right fused Pokemon.
  • Fused Pokemon will be added to the Pokedex, so that’s added content you have to unlock.

Disadvantages of Fusing Pokemon

  • Stats are something out of your control unless you use Super Splicers which give you a better result when it comes to the stats.
  • Some typing combinations may be bad. Some of them will have x4 Weaknesses and lose some of their strengths.

Tips You For Fusing Pokemon in Pokemon Infinite Fusion

Always Save

The game is generous when it comes to saving slots. Try to save in separate slots if you feel that you want to experiment a bit.

Keep in mind that some Pokemon are quite rare so if you want to experiment, save first, try some fusing combinations, and then load if you don’t like the results.

Feel Free to Experiment

The save trick is quite handy for this tip because it saves you money.

Experimenting is the key when it comes to fusing the Pokemon that you want, and it saves you some DNA Splicers as well when you don’t like the results.

Wild Fused Pokemon

The official site doesn’t have a list of fused Pokemon, but be aware that they can appear in the wild as well although the chances are low.

When a fused Pokemon appears, especially if it isn’t in your Pokedex yet, capture it and you have a fused Pokemon without the need to use DNA Splicers.

In Closing

That concludes our Pokemon Infinite Fusion Fusing Guide.

The fusing part is really cool and the game as of now has over 176,000+ fused results. That is very large, which is also why the game loads hard and slow for some people.

Nevertheless, it adds a layer of flavor and challenge when it comes to those who want to complete a Pokedex with over 100,000+ entries.

Plus, once you finish the game, there is also the feature of triple fusions where you can fuse three specific Pokemon into one. How exciting was that?
