How are seats numbered at PNC Charlotte? ›

The seat numbers at PNC Music Pavilion go from right-to-left. When seating looking at the stage the lowest seat number (usually seat 1) will be on the far right of each section. Sections 1 and 3 have seat numbers that go from 1-11 in the first row and up to 39 seats in the longest row.

It was renamed under a new naming rights deal with PNC Bank. It has a capacity of 19,500 (7,232 seats under pavilion, 2,221 reserved seats on lawn and 10,000 general admission seats).

The PNC Music Pavilion is covered by the roof mainly in the middle of the venue. If you are sitting towards the middle there is a good chance your seat will be covered. The pit, box seats, and sections 1-8 are all comfortably covered by the roof. Sections 4 and 9 are on the outside of the reserved sections.

General admission parking comes with your ticket! Early Parking allows early access to the parking lots so guests can avoid traffic and tailgate longer.

PNC Park follows the standard venue seat number logic, in that seat number 1 will always be closest to the lower number section adjacent to it.

Best Seats for Great Views of the Field

Given this architectural layout, fans will mostly want to search for tickets in the lower 100 level if searching for the best possible views. Some of the very best views are found in the lower half of sections 109-112 and 121-124 (rows A through Q).

“Can you sit wherever on the lawn seating ?” Yes, the lawn is just an open space of grass that you can bring your own chair or blanket to sit on during an event.

Thankfully, PNC Park is designed with quite a few seats under cover. At field level, sections 101-129 extend quite far back from the field. The last 10 or so rows on both the 1st base and 3rd base lines are under cover and thus shaded. On the upper 300-level, seats toward the back are covered by the stadium roof.

We're a cash-free venue. If you arrive without a debit or credit card, head to an information booth and they'll exchange cash for card (for free). The Box Office at PNC Music Pavilion is only open day-of-show, starting at 10AM. Find that coveted merch at our Concert Gear booths in the north and south plazas.

Gate times vary, but are usually 60-90 minutes prior to show time.

PNC Arena Admission

Some events require a ticket for every person, regardless of age. Exit / Re-entry into PNC Arena is NOT permitted, including for smoking. PNC Arena is a smoke and tobacco free facility; including electronic cigarettes. Smoking areas are no longer available outside the arena.

All seating sections are numbered beginning on the south side of the arena and continuing in a clockwise direction. Viewed from the floor, seats are numbered across the row from left to right, beginning with 1. The rows are numbered from the bottom of the section to the top, also beginning with 1.

Head-on to the Stage: Seats directly across from the stage, like those in Section 102, Section 103, Section 302 and Section 303 provide the most comfortable looks of the performance. Even upper level sections offer unobstructed sitelines.
